This is what am talking about, hate the new ufc that fighters can’t do anything, before there was no weight divisions or nothing like that pure fighting skills.

  2. SABLeague says:

I miss this kind of UFC.

  3. OhmBassBubba says:

0:53….was that Billy Banks (Tae Bo) getting beat up?

  4. DESERTFOXX252 says:

@Nick718BkLyN What’s the “dirty fighting” you’re talking about? And Which fighters didn’t do good when the rules changed. I wanna see if you’ve actually watched these events, and followed their history.

  5. DESERTFOXX252 says:

@Nick718BkLyN Eye gouging was a rule since the first event… And headbutts are dirty? The only bad thing they present is cuts, like elbows. Cage grabbing rules were applied at around UFC 14. Also Abbott was known for his KO power not hanging from the cage. Coleman’s temporary fall was only because of cardio no rule changes. Actually rules helped him since fights got shorter. Reason Ken gets “owned” now is because of age, and the game has evolved. Judging by your profile I doubt you’re that old.

  6. DESERTFOXX252 says:

@Nick718BkLyN Every time a guy says that none of these guys had any skill, you can tell they haven’t watched shit. For one if you even went to one of these, chances are, like most, you would not even know what the fuck they were doing. And if you did know your shit, you would know a lot of the grapplers during these time were Olympic level guys. Also what you see the newer guys doing now, they’re doing it because these guys taught them that. These guys built that road through trial and error.

  7. DESERTFOXX252 says:

@JSwanKilowJ He also got a good win against a prime Taktarov and Bohlander. But other than that yeah… he was for the most part a gatekeeper, then the competition just got over his lack of skills.

  8. DESERTFOXX252 says:

@Nick718BkLyN I’m not getting my ass hurt over someone’s opinion. I’m just schooling you on some MMA history babe.

  9. DESERTFOXX252 says:

@Nick718BkLyN Really, that’s your come back? Coming from someone that thought eye gouging was allowed back then, I’m not surprised. Hahahaha…

  10. 56chizzy says:

who is the buff dude @ 1:14??

  11. closplint says:

@56chizzy that was Ian Freeman. He fought a few times in the UFC, the last time I remember seeing him though, he got KO’d by Andre Arlovski around ’02 or ’03.

  12. ThePinkMan says:

@closplint That was actually Brad Kohler knocking out Steve Judson.

  13. Elkid937 says:

    dudes were animals

  14. southard999 says:

    beast sauce taco :)

  15. ThePinkMan says:

@JSwanKilowJ Many fighters have gotten attention with a nasty KO , but never really achieve great things in the sport.

In Goodridge’s case, he entered the UFC with little assets besides his strength and some boxing experience. He had to learn the entire fight game as he was moving along.

  16. Villesanti says:

@RoyKhanIsGod I agree. Now is about having tribal tattoos and wearing tapout and affliction t-shirts!

  17. RoyKhanIsGod says:

    @Villesanti Right on.

  18. shojinkhan says:

@OhmBassBubba no this is orlando wiet world thai-boxing champion in 1993

  19. adamz96706 says:

  21. coolchaky says:

You get knocked out or the time runs out….Fuck I miss those days..

  22. ALLhailBRITANNIA714 says:

I have videotapes of those fights..those tournaments were fuckin awesome!

  23. TimGXR750 says:

This is when the UFC was just pure fucking raw!!! I have all these old tapes myself….I can’t stand the UFC now…To me I think it’s so fucking wack now…it’s not exciting as it use to be….

  24. jables8806 says:

@JSwanKilowJ His fight with Don Frye in Pride was another great highlight. It doesn’t really get the replays like this knockout though…

  25. Davema88 says:

a lot of you barbaric meat-heads may enjoy these “fights” more than current UFC, but im glad this shit is now banned..if you cant see the reasons why these “fights” couldnt go mainstream then your more animal than human…I enjoy a good fight, but what I saw that two meat heads fighting to the death unless the “ref” stopped it in time, which thankfully he did
